Learn to Felt! (Summer Knitting Class) Sundays 6:30-8:30 6/28 - 8/16
Have you ever wanted to try felting your knitting? It’s a little bit magic—your stitches go into the wash and come out as a completely different fabric.
In this class, we’ll knit a project slightly oversized, then felt it down into a sturdy, finished piece. You can choose between the classic Booga Bag or a pair of cozy Sailor Slippers—both great introductions to felting.
We’ll talk about choosing the right yarn (this part matters!), what to expect during the felting process, and how to shape and finish your project once it comes out of the wash.
You will learn I cord edging, Kitchner stitch, what happens during the felting process and how to control it. How to shape and resize your project while wet. If you can knit and purl, you’re good to go. This is a relaxed, hands-on class with a little room to experiment—and you’ll leave with something truly one-of-a-kind!
