With the hubbub of the holidays behind us and the long cold winter settling in, it’s time to cuddle up by the fire with a nice, interesting woolie cable knit to keep you occupied! Join us this February to explore different types of cable patterns to up your knitting game and produce a beautiful heirloom-quality cable-knit sweater. In this class you will learn or review:
• cabling with or -without- a cable needle
• working with a chart
• working flat pieces
• getting gauge
• finishing techniques
Aren't sure which pattern would be a good fit for your knitting level? Here is a simple pattern guide to help you decide:
Please understand that only shop yarn will be used in our classes, so plan on arriving 15-20 minutes before the first class to pick out yarn and materials for this course. Students will get a 10% discount on all yarn and supplies for the entire duration of the class.
A Few Additional Details:
• Students will need to purchase and print their own copy of the pattern::
• Students should bring purchase the necessary needles to get gauge, which may require a different set than recommended in the pattern OR when working in plain stockinette.
A few additional supplies may come in handy including::
• a magnetic pattern holder
• stitch markers
• crochet hook
• darning needles
• cable needle
